The Lost & Foundation will hold a fund-raising concert on Sunday, April 13, at the Helena Colonial Hotel - Red Lion from 2 to 10 PM. Proceeds of the concert will go to Claire Stone, a 17 year old student at Helena High School.
Claire is receiving treatment for her second occurrence of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Despite undergoing chemotherapy last fall, she remained active in school. She participated as a cheerleader and was chosen Homecoming Queen of 2013.
In January, Claire entered the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to begin testing for an autologous stem cell transplant (a transplant of her own stem cells). Her cancer has proven resistant, though, leading to radiation treatment along with the stem-cell transplant. It is likely that Claire and her family will be in Seattle for a minimum of six months.
Luckily, the Stone family has insurance. However, they face deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and travel expenses.
The benefit for Claire Stone will include three stages at in the Helena Colonial Hotel - Red Lion convention center and Martini’s Lounge. The hotel will set up food and beverage service at reasonable prices. Over 16 musical acts are donating their time and talents to help Claire.
