Michelle “Mickey” Kunnary was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She was first diagnosed in 2013 at the age of 42. The cancer has now spread to her liver and she will be on treatment indefinitely.
After her first bout with cancer, Mickey opened The Survivor’s Boutique on Helena Avenue. This specialty store provides comfort to cancer survivors with specialty products – wigs, head covers, skin care products, etc. – as well as emotional support.
Mickey has insurance through her her husband Dan’s work. While that helps immensely, deductibles and co-pays are high. In addition, she will face a lot of expenses traveling every three weeks to Bozeman for treatment.
