Event Raises $18,672 For Breast Cancer Victim
March 14, 2010
The Lost & Foundation held a fabulous fund-raising concert on Sunday, March 14, at the Red Lion Colonial Hotel from 2 to 9 p.m. and raised $18, 672 to help Andrea “Andy” Amundson in her fight against breast cancer.
Andy was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastasized breast cancer which had spread to her neck and bones.
The severity of her disease led to a painful month-long hospital stay and 20 rounds of radiation along with chemotherapy treatments. At the end of 2009, Andy underwent radical surgery and is awaiting reconstructive surgeries. Since the benefit, Andy has been making good progress in her continuing fight and has been “cancer free” since this past spring.
The benefit featured the talent of over 16 musical acts including Iron Front, Soul Patrol, Uncharted Waters, The Perfect Jones, Mabels Rage, The Helena Buckets and a special farewell appearance by pop-rockers Goodnight Sunrise. The event included displays, information and educators to help increase Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention.
