Concert Event Helped Helena Teen
October 24, 2010
On Sunday, October 24, 2010, the Lost & Foundation held a fund-raising concert at the Red Lion Colonial Hotel. Proceeds of the concert went to Braydon Posey and his family. The total raised for Braydon came to $13, 057.
Last May, Braydon, 15, developed a large blood clot in his leg. The clot migrated to several smaller ones in his lungs – a pulmonary embolism. His critical condition required a medical flight to Seattle, where he spent 12 days in intensive care. The team of doctors treating Braydon have been puzzled by his disease and how to treat it. For now, he is on a daily regimen of anti-clotting injections.
Braydon’s parents, Dave and Annie Posey, are long-time Helenans who recently returned to the area. They live in East Helena, and Braydon attends Helena High School.
The Lost & Foundation is a nonprofit corporation established by Helena musicians. The Foundation organizes regular events to benefit worthy causes. The group has sponsored more than 24 previous concerts and raised over $300,000 for worthy causes. For more information, call 442-5002 or check the web site at www.lostandfoundation.org.
